This is a completely self indulgent post but anyway, here goes.
I HAVE PASSED THE BARISTA TEST!
OHHH YES. Christian can now call himself, a Starbucks Barista!
Or, Coffee Artist! Wickedly Insanely Impossibly Righteously Awesomely GROOVY!
Just got back from closing shop and my Bar test, and after weeks of training, knowing i passed was one hell of a relief and intense euphoria-esque feeling! Righteous.
ALSO. Today (kinda late though) i bought Metallica's Death Magnetic.
And i am elated to say.. THE MASTERS ARE BACK.
Awesome. They have totally still got it, love the kickass Thrash Metal tunes. I think the ravings about how Lars Drums are too loud are actually quite the contrary. I like how they pummel the song forward, and i love the creativity Metallica have brought back to the table especially on songs like Cyanide. Aside from that, typical Metallica classic riff patterns like those on
" The Unforgiven 3 " remind us metalheads of times of " Sad But True " and " Sanitarium ".
I totally love this album.

It's been ages since a substantial, full-bodied post.
This .... wont be any different!
Life here in the West is beginning to feel a little more homey, though that nagging feeling of
" i miss you guys and the awesomeness that is the east side " still tugs at my shirt, threatening to destabilize the hierarchy of life itself and the space time continuum. Well, maybe not that extreme.
It has however been comforting to know that i have a friend 5 minutes away!
I've started work at Starbucks and i will proclaim that it is quite possibly the best part-time job i've ever done! I love everything about it. Aside from amazing fellow partners and coffee baristas, the environment and people interaction everyday is just amazing. Above all, getting to know coffee on a more personal level is definitely a contributing factor.
Still remember an old but corny saying they used to put up on the TV's at ST.PAT'S:
If you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life.
No doubt something posted by Brother Edward! Fuck. I miss St.pat's and the shit that came with it.
