Update.
The holidays have been rather enjoyable, and im not sure if im entirely anticipating the return of school either! While it has/and will continue to be a meger 2 weeks, i've found time to unwind and basically chill out a little and im grateful for that.
Hanging out with friends has been extremely satisfying as well.. even wasted alcohol-intensive ones! Note to self: Never drink sakae again christian. Yeah, thats right.. apparently my body hates it.
Something happened that i dont think i'll ever forget and i know it was wrong, but goddamn it was awesome.
*SLAP. back to reality.
Right. Acoustic sessions with Matthew and Kezia are going great and some of our harmonies were pretty darn tight. Musically we definitely need to keep working at it but in time, i'm sure we'll be ready for the Arts Cafe. Had fun creating some on the spot improvisations on songs including Stolen by Dashboard Confessional and even some random bass lines! Yeah, the bass has been growing on me ever since closing Jam and Hop with me on bass doing Stone Temple Pilot's Plush. Which, once again was wickedly insanely awesome. I can't wait to see where our music's gonna go, meeting ben and our new rhythm guitarist next Saturday for a jam and some work on our originals. Also, the new Bassist is wickedly insanely impossibly amazing. He's into jazz intensively, and plays some serious FUNK! Yes, thats right.. Slap bass and the works along with it. Marcus Miller is his inspiration! Which is cool and impossibly awesome. The fella's got some solid musical influences. We'll see what happens from here..
The coming week will involve practice and the actual execution of guitars for Praise and Worship. I'm pretty psyched about it.. it's been pretty long since i've done some church work and maybe this wouldn't hurt in helping me feel better bout faith and stuff. I just wish i'd see the con's around a lil more.. im not sure if there'll even be time once i shift back to the west. Veron, Chan, Douglas, Kenneth, Nick, Shaun.. dam i miss the times we had together. A reunion is in need.
(I Doubt any of you even read this but if somehow ya do, well... yeah.) I'll admit it, you guys help keep me rooted.
Programme outing on Tuesday, and we're all gonna go voting too. Looking forward to that.
